A New Website for a new Era

The Ballet Heels website is being rebuilt for the Marie Deux era. The new platform will provide a modern way to introduce and showcase its next talent while preserving the complete history of Ballet Heels since 2008.

The rebuild is not intended to erase or replace the past. Instead, it will bring the different generations of the project together, allowing new and returning visitors to explore its development across three distinct eras.

The First Phase: 2008 to 2009

The Ballet Heels story began in 2008. During the website’s first phase, several different models contributed to the project, including Valerie Tramell and Ankha van Ayken.

Material from 2008 and 2009 will become part of the new website’s archive, preserving the earliest years of Ballet Heels and the models who helped establish its identity.

The Alexandra Potter Era: 2010 to 2023

The second and longest phase began in 2010 with Alexandra Potter. She remained the principal Ballet Heels model and ran the website for 14 years, until 2023.

This period became a major part of the project’s history. The long collaboration with Alexandra created an extensive archive documenting the development of Ballet Heels over more than a decade.

The rebuilt website will preserve and present this material as a central part of the Ballet Heels story, giving visitors the opportunity to rediscover the work created throughout the Alexandra Potter era.

One Website, Three Eras

The new website will connect the complete Ballet Heels timeline:

• The original phase from 2008 to 2009
• The Alexandra Potter era from 2010 to 2023
• The forthcoming Marie Deux era

Each period has its own identity and place within the project's history. Bringing them together will create a website that functions both as a modern platform and as a complete Ballet Heels archive.

Visitors will be able to discover the earliest models, revisit 14 years of work with Alexandra Potter, and follow the beginning of the Marie Deux era within one unified website.

The result will be more than a redesign. It will be a new home for the complete Ballet Heels story, preserving its history while preparing the project for its next chapter.
