Public park walk

This shoot came together during a quiet afternoon in an inner-city park, where I wanted to blend into the everyday rhythm of the space while still wearing my ballet heels. Dressed in a simple sleeveless tunic layered over a black turtleneck and leggings, I kept everything intentionally understated. The idea was to appear completely natural—just another passerby—only the heels revealing something slightly surreal upon a second glance.

The contrast between my low-key outfit and the extreme footwear created a subtle visual tension that Raymond captured beautifully. We moved between shaded benches and sunlit walkways, letting the scene evolve with each step. Most people didn’t even notice the heels at first. A few curious glances turned into double-takes, and now and then someone would stop, amazed I could actually walk like that.

What I appreciated most was how the setting allowed for quiet interactions—between me and the space, between the camera and fleeting expressions. These weren’t bold or dramatic shots, but ones that quietly invite a second look. They reflect not only the challenge of ballet heels but the ease I’m finding in making them feel like part of my normal.
