A Strange Combination That Worked

For this shoot, I wanted another Highstyle combination rather than a complete latex look. I chose a new pair of latex hot pants and combined them with a shirt I found in Raymond’s collection. On paper, the pieces did not really belong together, which was exactly why I wanted to try them.

Mixing Materials Instead of Matching Them

The latex shorts bring the shine and structure, while the shirt is much softer and more casual. That contrast changes the whole outfit. Instead of looking polished in the obvious way, it feels a little offbeat and improvised, which made it much more interesting to me than simply matching latex with more latex.

Ballet Heels Finish the Look

The long black Ballet Heels push the combination even further. They add a very sharp line underneath an outfit that is otherwise playful and slightly strange. I liked that tension between casual clothing, glossy latex, and something as extreme as Ballet Heels.

Weird Can Be Better

I would not call this a conventional outfit, and that was the point. Sometimes Highstyle works best when the pieces seem slightly wrong together at first. Once everything is on, the proportions, textures, and attitude start making sense in their own way.
