Fashion dress chair
Back to the Beginning
I wanted to bring back the black-and-white dress I used when I first started the website. Wearing it again immediately connected this shoot with those early images, but this time I wanted to give the outfit more movement and a slightly different character.
Letting the Wind Do the Work
The wind machine changed everything. Instead of relying only on poses, I could let the air move my hair and the fabric and react to whatever happened in front of the camera. It made the shoot much less static and gave even simple positions more energy.
A Chair Is Sometimes Enough
The chair became the only real prop, but it gave me plenty to work with. I could lean against it, sit, stretch around it, or use it to change the balance of a pose. Together with the Ballet Heels, it turned into a useful counterpoint rather than just something standing in the frame.
Familiar, but Not Repeated
That was what I liked most about this shoot. The dress was familiar and carried a little history with it, but the wind, the chair, and the way I moved made the images feel completely different from the ones I started with.
