Highstyle
Dark Highstyle fashion
The Missing Piece
I wanted this Highstyle shoot to feel more dynamic than a simple fashion set. The black outfit already had the shape I wanted, with the fitted silhouette, dark layers, and Ballet Heels keeping everything sharp and controlled. But once I was dressed, it still felt like something was missing.
A Red Blanket Was Enough
Raymond handed me a red blanket, and that immediately changed the shoot. Instead of treating it like a prop that had to be carefully arranged, I could pull it around me, stretch it out, let it fall, and use it to create movement around the otherwise very dark outfit.
Movement Against Structure
That contrast became the whole point. The black clothing and Ballet Heels stayed precise and almost architectural, while the red fabric moved freely around me. Every small change of the arms altered the shape of the image, so the fabric became part of the posing rather than just decoration.
Highstyle Through Contrast
This is exactly what I like about Highstyle. The outfit itself does not need to be complicated. Sometimes one unexpected element is enough to change the entire direction of a shoot. In this case, a simple red blanket turned a controlled black look into something much more alive.
