Cosplay latex shoot & fun

Definitely Not Soldier Material

This shoot started with a simple joke: I probably shouldn't be trusted with a rifle. I have no military skills, no tactical knowledge, and I am quite happy to keep it that way. But visually, the combination of protective gear, heavy boots, red latex, black mesh, and all the oversized equipment was simply too much fun to ignore.

Somewhere Between Uniform and Fantasy

What I liked was that the outfit never really felt realistic. It looked more like something from a game, a comic, or a slightly exaggerated future where uniforms are designed by fashion people instead of practical people. The red latex gave it a strong graphic base, while the black pieces added structure and made the whole thing feel almost like a character design.

Playing a Role Without Becoming It

That is probably why costumes appeal to me so much. I can borrow the visual language of something without pretending to actually be it. For a few photographs, I can become a soldier, a heroine, a villain, or simply someone who clearly has no idea what she is doing with all that equipment. Sometimes the distance between reality and appearance is exactly where the fun begins.
