Your secretary on tiptoes
The Secretary Question
What should a personal secretary actually look like? Serious, perfectly organized, almost invisible behind the work? Or can she bring a little more personality into the office? For this shoot I played with exactly that idea, taking the classic white blouse and pencil skirt combination and pushing it into my own direction with glossy latex and Ballet Heels.
Officewear, Rewritten
The black latex skirt immediately changed the whole mood. It still looked neat and office-like, but much sharper and more deliberate. The glasses added the obvious secretary reference, while the Ballet Heels made sure the outfit could never become too conventional. I liked that balance between something familiar and something that clearly does not belong in an ordinary office.
Maybe Professional Does Not Mean Predictable
That was probably the most interesting part of the shoot for me. We often have very fixed ideas about how certain roles are supposed to look, but clothes can completely rewrite that expectation. If I can look organized, focused, and elegant while standing in Ballet Heels, maybe the definition of “professional” has always been a little more flexible than people think.
