06 Bonus Ballet shoot

Back to the Basics

Here comes another ballet bonus shoot, and this time I wanted to keep everything very simple. A black body, overknee socks, and my pointe shoes were enough. No complicated styling, no big concept, just me moving through familiar positions and letting the ballet itself become the subject again.

Something That Never Completely Leaves

I still like dancing ballet from time to time, even if the years when it was such a constant part of my life are behind me. The body remembers more than I sometimes expect. Certain movements still feel natural the moment I start, while others remind me very quickly that training, flexibility, and precision do not stay exactly where you left them.

Not the Old Days, and That Is Fine

Maybe that is why these bonus shoots mean something different to me now. I am not trying to return to the past or prove that nothing has changed. I can simply enjoy what is still there, accept what has changed, and move because I want to. The good old times may be over, but that does not mean there cannot be good new ones.
