Quiet Until It Wasn’t

Walking through the botanical garden in Ballet Heels felt surprisingly calm at first. The setting was soft, green, almost too peaceful for the shoes, which made the contrast even better. For a while it felt like we had found one of those rare public places that still allowed enough space to move slowly, stop where we wanted, and actually think about the pictures instead of the people around us.

Then Reality Arrived

That changed rather quickly once more visitors came in. Suddenly every path became unpredictable; people crossed behind me, walked straight into the frame, or simply stood exactly where Raymond wanted to film. Photography was still possible if we worked fast, but video became almost impossible because nothing stayed clear for more than a few seconds.

Public Places Have Their Own Rhythm

I actually like that reminder. A public location can look perfect, but it never really belongs to the shoot. You have to borrow it for a moment and accept that everyone else has exactly the same right to be there. So we hurried, adapted, and took what the morning gave us. Sometimes that little bit of pressure makes the result feel more alive anyway.
