Training First, Shooting Second

I was actually in the atelier for some coaching and training around the question, “How do you walk in high heels?” The runway setup was already there; I was moving through the space, and the whole thing felt more practical than photographic at first. But that large mirror was impossible to ignore for very long.

One Mirror, Two Versions of the Same Pose

Once I started using it, the shoot immediately became more interesting. The reflection created a second angle without moving the camera, and suddenly every position had another version of itself inside the frame. It made simple poses feel more layered and gave the images a slightly more editorial character than I had planned.

Sometimes the Best Ideas Stay Small

There was not enough time to turn it into a full video concept, and that was fine. Not every idea has to become a complete production. Sometimes it is enough to notice something, use it for a few photographs, and keep the rest for another day.
