Starting Together

Sarah Wanton had just started building her own website, and I wanted to help her create some strong material right from the beginning. Instead of simply doing a normal guest shoot, I invited her into my world for a day and gave her a proper Ballet Heels challenge. New shoes, unfamiliar balance, industrial surroundings, and not much room for hesitation.

Finding the Limit

I quickly learned that Sarah is much sportier than she first lets on. Ballet Heels alone already change the way you move, but once we added more acrobatic ideas and started using the railway setting around us, the shoot became a real test of coordination and trust in her own body. She handled far more than I expected and kept finding ways to make difficult positions look surprisingly natural.

Helping Someone Start Strong

I like collaborations most when both people leave with something they would not have created alone. For Sarah, this was a chance to begin her own project with something memorable. For me, it was fun to see how another model reacts when she steps into a style that has its own strange rules. Sometimes helping someone move forward simply means giving them a challenge worth remembering.
