Armbinder & Mask only for you
Trying Something I Had Never Done Before
I wanted this shoot to go somewhere completely unfamiliar, so Raymond introduced the armbinder and pulled my arms up behind my back. The moment everything was in place, the whole way I normally use my body changed. No balancing with the arms, no easy corrections, no familiar gestures to save a pose.
Balance Becomes the Real Subject
Doing that while standing in Ballet Heels made it much more difficult than it looks. Every small movement suddenly mattered because I had to control my balance almost entirely through my legs, hips, and core. The restraint did not just change the look of the shoot; it changed the way I had to think about every position.
When Limitation Creates New Shapes
What I liked was how different the resulting body lines became. I could not fall back on my usual posing vocabulary, so the limitations forced me into something more graphic, more sculptural, and a little stranger. Sometimes taking away freedom creates a completely new kind of expression.
