Equestrian, Without the Horse

This outfit instantly made me think of a horse-riding girl who decided that the usual riding look was simply not enough. White, black, fitted, polished, a little strict, and then the Ballet Heels completely destroy any chance of blending in. If the goal was to stand out from the other riders, I think walking around on tiptoes would certainly do the job.

The Chair Had to Play Along

There was no horse available, so the chair became my substitute. It sounds silly, but it actually worked well for the poses because I could sit, lean, twist, and still keep the strong lines of the outfit visible. The contrast between the clean white chair and the black latex details made everything feel a little more editorial than costume-like.

Attention Changes the Character

What I like about this look is that it sits somewhere between discipline and exhibition. It has the structure of something practical, but absolutely none of the intention to disappear into the background. Maybe that imaginary riding girl does not just want the horse to notice her. Maybe she wants the entire stable to stop for a second and wonder what exactly she is doing.
