19 Bonus Ballet shoot
A Christmas Encore
After all the feedback on my last latex ballet shoot, I thought Christmas was a good excuse to do one more. This time I went less for actual dancing and more for the complete look: red and black latex, gloves, the fluffy Christmas hood, and my pointe shoes. It became more playful, more theatrical, and much easier to control for the camera.
Less Movement, Better Photos
Dancing in latex looks great, but it gets warm very quickly, especially once the lights are on and I actually start moving. So instead of pushing through it, I slowed everything down and concentrated on poses, balance, lines, and small movements. That gave Raymond much more time to catch the details without me overheating between every few frames.
Sometimes Less Is More
I still like the contrast of ballet and latex, even if I do not want every ballet shoot to become a workout in rubber. This one worked because it stayed somewhere between dance, fashion, and Christmas fun. A little less movement, a few more accessories, and enough red to make the season impossible to miss.
