Starting the Year With an Idea

There it is, a new year. Happy New Year, everyone! I already have a few ideas in my head for what I want to try next, and this shoot felt like a good way to begin. Instead of repeating something familiar, I wanted to push the styling a little further and make the first set of the year feel more like an idea than just another outfit.

Less Routine, More Character

The combination is still very much me, but the details change the mood completely. The white shirt, black tie, latex leggings, Ballet Heels, and small accessories turn something almost formal into something much more playful and graphic. I like that contrast because it gives me more room to pose differently and not fall back into the same movements again and again.

A Year Should Start With Curiosity

I do not know yet where all the ideas for this year will lead, and that is probably the best part. I would rather start with curiosity than with a fixed plan. Some concepts will work, some will fail, and some will probably become completely different once Raymond and I start shooting them. For now, this is number one: a little sharper, a little stranger, and hopefully the beginning of a very creative year.
