When the Product Shoot Becomes Mine

I was asked to photograph some pieces for a latex label from Hamburg, which sounded easy enough until the fitting started. A lot of the clothes were clearly made for different proportions, so instead of forcing every piece into the shoot, I only kept the ones that actually worked on me.

Fit Changes Everything

That is something product photos can hide very easily. A design can look beautiful on a hanger and still behave completely differently once someone moves in it. The pieces that fit properly immediately gave me more freedom, better lines, and much more confidence in front of the camera. This mint dress was one of them.

From Assignment to Editorial

Once I had the right pieces, the shoot stopped feeling like a simple product session. I could mix the label’s design with the parachute, the white Ballet Heels, and my own way of posing. That is usually where I enjoy these collaborations most: when I am not only showing the clothes, but giving them a little world to exist in.
