That Shoulder Detail Got Me

I really like this dress. The British design has exactly the kind of structure I enjoy because it feels elegant without becoming too formal. The shoulder and upper-arm area is my favorite part. It gives the whole silhouette a little more shape and makes the dress feel much more distinctive than a simple black latex piece.

The Stripes Make It

The white stripes at the front are such a small detail, but they change everything. Without them, the dress would still look good, but with them it suddenly has a much stronger graphic character. They draw the eye upward and break the black surface exactly where it needs to be.

Elegant, but Still Very Me

Combined with the Ballet Heels, the outfit gets that slightly exaggerated posture I like, but the dress itself keeps the whole look controlled. It is not loud, not overloaded, and not trying too hard.

For me, this is one of those pieces where the design does most of the work. I just had to put it on and let the lines speak for themselves.
