Shiny Legs and a Silver Companion

Here I am again, collared, standing on my Ballet Heels, and somehow making a brand-new cardigan and shirt work with shiny latex legs. I had just bought both pieces and wanted to see whether they could fit into one of my Highstyle combinations without looking too deliberately styled.

Casual on Top, Latex Below

I actually like this balance a lot. The cardigan and shirt feel very normal and wearable, while the latex leggings completely change the lower half of the outfit. Add the steel collar and suddenly something casual becomes much sharper.

That contrast is probably what makes the combination work for me. Nothing is fighting for attention, but the materials still make the outfit feel unusual.

And Then There Was My Silver Buddy

Raymond had recently gotten this big silver inflatable figure, and of course it ended up in the shoot. :D It is strange, oversized, and not exactly what you expect next to a fashion look, which made it much more fun to work with.

Sometimes a shoot just needs one completely unnecessary object to make the whole set memorable. This time, apparently, that object was my giant silver friend.
