Making Something New From the Leftovers

Raymond and I still had some of the large white paper left from earlier shoots, and instead of throwing it away, we started cutting it into new shapes. Together with the large mirror, it became a completely different setup from before, almost like looking through fragments rather than posing against a normal background.

White, Black and Steel

I kept the outfit very clean because the set already had enough going on. The white dress almost disappears into the paper, while the black Ballet Heels create a contrast beneath it. And yes, Raymond locked the steel collar around my neck again. :D

That little detail changes the whole mood for me. Without it, the pictures would feel very soft and minimal. With it, something sharper suddenly breaks through all that white.

A Shoot Built From Almost Nothing

I really like that this idea came from materials we already had. No elaborate new set, just paper, scissors, a mirror, and some experimenting until the images started to work.

Sometimes creativity is less about finding something new and more about looking at the leftovers differently.
