A Normal Dress Needed Something More

I actually started this shoot in a very normal outfit. The black dress is simple, elegant, and easy to wear, which was exactly why I chose it for the cemetery. But once I was there, the look suddenly felt too ordinary for the location.

So I added the corset.

Tight Enough to Change the Mood

That one piece changed everything immediately. The silhouette became much sharper, the outfit felt more intentional, and the polished surface of the corset added just enough contrast without turning the whole look into a costume.

Even though it was warm, I liked the feeling of being held firmly in place. There is something very calming about that kind of tightness when the fit is right.

Still Elegant, Just Less Ordinary

Together with the Ballet Heels, the outfit finally had the balance I wanted. The dress kept it classy, the corset added structure, and the shoes made the whole look unmistakably mine.

Sometimes a perfectly normal outfit only needs one unusual element to become interesting.
