Maleficent latex theme shoot

Maleficent, but in Latex

After I got this amazing hood from Kostümkunst in Cologne, there was really only one direction this shoot could go. The shape immediately reminded me of Maleficent, so Raymond and I decided not to hold back and build the whole look around it.

Full Black, Full Drama

Instead of copying the character directly, I wanted to turn the idea into something that better suited me. Full black latex, long Ballet Heels, gloves, strong lines, and as little distraction as possible. The hood already had so much presence that the rest of the outfit needed to support it rather than compete with it.

Smoke Changes Everything

The smoke machine made the set feel much more cinematic. On the black background, it became dark and almost theatrical, while the white setup gave the same styling a completely different graphic quality.

I liked that contrast a lot. This was definitely one of those shoots where the costume piece started the whole idea, but the final result became something much more personal. Maleficent was the reference. The rest was ours.
