The First Pieces Are Getting Real

latexkind has slowly started producing the first pieces for me and some of the girls from latexperiment, and every new prototype makes the whole idea feel a little less theoretical.

This time I got to test a white dress made from very thin raw latex. No heavy shine, no complicated styling, no need to make the material look like the usual polished latex people expect. It has a much softer, more fashion-like character, and that is exactly what makes it interesting to me.

Raw Latex Feels Different

What I like most is that this kind of latex does not immediately scream “latex outfit.” The thin material moves differently, falls differently, and in white it almost becomes minimalistic. Add the collar, the Ballet Heels, and the metal cuffs, and suddenly the clean simplicity turns into something much stronger.

It feels less like wearing a special material for effect and more like wearing an actual fashion piece that just happens to be made from latex.

Now I Want the Finished Version

Prototypes are useful because they show what still has to change, but they also make waiting for the final pieces much harder. I already know what I want adjusted before this becomes a finished garment, but the direction is exactly what I hoped for. I can’t wait until the first real latexkind pieces are ready, not only for shoots, but also for you to actually buy and wear yourselves.

That is probably when the whole project really starts to feel real.
