Xay One Is Back

Xay One returned for another shoot, but this time we took the idea a little further. Instead of simply posing next to a giant teddy bear, we made a video that shows our interaction. Suddenly Xay One was no longer just a funny prop in the background. She had personality, reactions, movement, and became part of the story.

And yes, a real person was inside. Mary Shields brought Xay One to life, which made the whole thing much more entertaining than working with an oversized plush bear standing around looking cute.

Matching Details Matter

For this shoot, I also got a red collar from Swedish Collar, and it fit the outfit almost suspiciously well. The red dress, the black details, the Ballet Heels, and then that collar as the finishing piece made the whole look feel much more intentional. I like when accessories do that. One small element can suddenly pull an entire outfit together.

Cute, Strange, and Very Much Ours

This shoot is one of those combinations that sounds a little ridiculous when you explain it out loud: Ballet Heels, a red fashion outfit, a matching collar, and a giant teddy bear with Mary inside.

But that is exactly why I like it. Not every shoot has to be serious, elegant, dramatic, or perfect. Sometimes it is enough to create something playful, slightly weird, and fun enough that everybody involved forgets for a moment that we are actually working.
