Bringing Back an Old Piece

Once I was already dressed in the catsuit, I didn’t really want to stop there. I remembered this long shirt I had worn a very long time ago and thought it might be interesting to bring it back instead of reaching for something new again.

Some people would probably call it a dress. I’m still not completely sure what I call it. But layered over the black latex, it suddenly worked in a way I didn’t remember.

Old Clothes, New Context

That is something I really enjoy about styling. A piece can sit around for years and feel completely irrelevant, then one different combination gives it a second life. The flowing fabric softens the catsuit, while the latex underneath keeps the silhouette sharp. Add the Ballet Heels and the whole thing becomes much more dramatic than the shirt ever was on its own.

Maybe I Should Keep More Things

Usually I’m very good at thinking I need something new for the next shoot. This was a nice reminder that sometimes the better idea is already hanging somewhere in the wardrobe. Apparently the fashion lesson here is simple:

Don’t throw everything away. Future you may suddenly decide it looks amazing over latex.
