Locked In, But Not Really in the Mood for an Audience

With the Ballet Wedges locked on, shiny leggings underneath, and this simple cotton dress on top, the outfit actually worked surprisingly well for an ordinary afternoon. I could walk around, go shopping, and spend a few hours outside without feeling like I was dressed for a shoot every second. That part I liked a lot.

Wearing It Is Easier Than Photographing It

What I still don’t enjoy is doing photos or videos when too many people are around. Walking through public places is one thing. Standing somewhere while Raymond points a camera at me and strangers start watching is completely different.

I know some people enjoy that attention. I really don’t.

For me, a good shoot needs a little space. Enough quiet to forget who might be watching, enough room to move naturally, and preferably nobody standing two meters away wondering why I’m balancing on my toes in locked Ballet Wedges.

Maybe That’s the Strange Balance

I can wear something unusual in public without much of a problem. But actually performing in front of strangers still changes everything.

So this afternoon became a mix of normal life and shooting whenever we found a quiet enough corner. Maybe that is why I like the result. It feels less staged somehow. Just me, dressed the way I wanted, walking around for a few hours and occasionally finding a place where the rest of the world could disappear for a moment.
